Mara and Lina are Smooth Salukis that now need a new life. They are two-years old, and have never had a litter. They are gentle, calm and trusting.

In camps and in areas around the desert, one often sees what might be called, “original Salukis.” Or “Primitive Salukis.” We just call them Salukis or real Salukis. Those that are not bred for a show ring, but instead for the hunt and the travel and health. Those that are still part of the traditional life in this part of the world. And like much of traditional life everywhere, these companions are slowly disappearing.

Both are calm, smart and affectionate. They have a strong prey instinct. We hope to help them find a new life, as their surroundings are be torn down and moved elsewhere. They will not be able to join.
